A general description to categorise probably what the majority of lawns are like in the UK. There will be different standards of finish within this category as well, ranging from excellent to poor. These types of lawns are those which are used for a range of purposes, but generally provide a pleasing and functional feature in a garden. The main grass species used for these lawns will be the hard-wearing Perennial Ryegrass; whilst the height of cut will typically be from 25 to 40mm.
