A common annual or short-lived perennial weed of turf surfaces. Its scientific name is Crepis capillaris. It has dandelion like leaves, but with narrow lobes projecting from the sides. The main flowering period is June to September, with small yellow flower heads, being about 10mm to 13mm in diameter. It is present on a wide range of soils.
