Sports surfaces, as well as amenity grass surfaces, require a range of equipment (i.e. hand tools, hand propelled, and mechanised ¯ pedestrian operated or sit-on) to maintain a surface to a desired standard. The actual complement, or kit, that will be available for any site or pitch can vary considerably, being significantly influenced by the available budget, which in some cases will be generous, but in many it will be frugal and limited.
