Picloram

A persistent herbicide, which was formerly used for the control of bracken, being applied 2-4 weeks prior to the emergence of fronds. Other weeds in non-crop areas could also be controlled, although care had to be taken to avoid applying this too close to ornamental or desirable shrubs or trees as this could kill them. It is no longer approved for such use.
