Ferrous Sulphate

A herbicide product that was formally approved for the control of moss in turf, giving good control. However, the product is no longer approved as a pesticide, so it is not lawful to claim that it controls moss. The product can be claimed to darken and blacken moss, and this in turn can help to reduce its ability to reproduce. The chemical composition is the same as historical ferrous sulphate, so anyone wishing to investigate its effect on plant growth and a grass sward can readily find out this information. See Iron Sulphate for most comments.
