The growing, propagation, maintenance, distribution and selling of produce from outdoor field crops and/or indoor greenhouses and polytunnels. The produce can be vegetables (if grown on a relatively large scale then this would typically be classed as agriculture), fruits, turf, ornamental plants and flowers, herbs, trees, wildflowers, native plants, all of which will be produced for profit and often on an intensive scale or a specialist area of horticulture which may focus on one or a few genera, for example, the cultivation of alpines, heathers, etc.
