The technical and subject matter skills which cover the knowledge, understanding and physical abilities needed to carry out work task effectively and efficiently.

Proficiency in hard skills is often measured by achievement of qualifications, certificates of competence, or demonstration of practical experience.

Whilst hard skills are an essential part of a workforce and business, the development and effective application of soft skills will often make the difference between a business which is ‘ticking over’ and one which is growing and excelling.
