Ethics

Doing the right thing, which may not necessarily be the right for, or fair to, you. Sometimes we have to do what is right even though we may disagree with it. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer to many issues in life - often this will depend upon the current state of the society or the situation. We do need to think about the way we live and our actions.
Ethics might be thought of what an impartial observer would make of an issue. The observer would need to think and reflect about the consequences of actions and give reasoned arguments for and against different actions and whether these will cause harm. A considered value judgement would result from all this deliberation.
