The health consequences of being exposed to HAVS (which is an abbreviation for Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) can be serious and permanently debilitating.

The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 were introduced to help protect workers from unacceptable exposure to vibration at work.
