ConVert Fertilizer

A range of polymer coated, Sulphur coated urea (PCSCU) controlled release fertilisers, for use on a range of turf surfaces. The fertiliser also contains the sulphate mineral Polyhalite has the elements potassium, calcium and magnesium as part of its chemical composition. The typical granule diameter is from 1mm - 2.5mm and they have a typical release period of 8 - 12 weeks. These fertilisers are marketed by Rigby Taylor.
Country Club

A range of conventional and controlled release based micro-granular fertilisers. Particle diameter size is either 0.9mm - 1.5mm diameter, or 0.5mm - 1.5mm diameter. They are suitable for use on a range of turf surfaces and have a typical release period of either 6 - 8 weeks or 10-12 weeks depending upon the product. They are manufactured by LebanonTurf.

CROTODUR

A trade product name for Crotonylidenediurea (CDU).
Crotonylidene Diurea (CDU)

This is produced by the reaction of urea and acetic aldehyde catalyzed by acid. Moisture and biological activity degrade CDU into urea and crotonaldehyde. It contains 31.5% N.
Delta Fertilizer

A range of organic based granular fertilisers, with the typical granule diameter being from 2.5mm - 4mm and they have a typical release period of 6 - 8 weeks for three of the products, and 10 - 12 weeks for one of the product range. It is suitable for use on turf surfaces mown at heights greater than 10mm. These fertilisers are marketed by Rigby Taylor.
Downcast

A liquid fertiliser which also contains sulphur to help suppress surface earthworm casting. The analysis is 5.1:0: 0, 0.28% Fe, 5.77% S (14.42 SO3). The nitrogen source is ammonium sulphate. After an initial application of 20-litres per hectare, it is suggested that it is reapplied every 2-weeks, to every 10-days if on a sandy rootzone, at 10-litres per hectare, if problems persist. It is produced by Angus Horticulture.
Dried Blood

An organic fertiliser supplying 10% to 14% of nitrogen, with a small amount of phosphate, up to about 1.2%. It is quick acting, within 5 days from application. Overuse of this fertiliser can produce a softer, more easily worn weedy surface, especially as this fertiliser produces a neutral reaction on a turf surface. It has been shown to improve drought resistance in turfgrasses. Dried Blood is usually used as a mixture with Hoof and Horn Meal because the latter is much slower at releasing its nitrogen and therefore a mixture of these two fertilisers provides for a good complement of release rates.
DroughtSafe

A make of lawn fertiliser, being part of the SmartLawn brand, with an analysis of 19:3:9.

DuraTec

A range of partly coated slow and controlled release granular fertilizers (with both coated and non-coated NPK granules, mostly with a diameter of 2-4mm), with nitrification inhibitor DMPP (3,4-dimethylpyrazolphosphate) to provide instant and longer-term nutrient release. These are produced by Compo Expert.
The 2N-technology (nitrification inhibitor + coating) aims to improve the efficiency of nutrient release.
