A fertiliser derived from previously living biological material, which contains carbon, for example Bonemeal. Regular, or overuse of organic fertilisers can often lead to a softer, more easily worn turf which is also more prone to weed invasion and disease attack.

An organic liquid fertiliser manufactured by Vitax Amenity. There are two liquid foliar feed products in this range, which are derived from plant extracts: • 6-2-4, +0.5% Ca, 0.8% Sulphur, 0.3% Mn, +TE. Applied on a 2-to-4-week basis during the spring and summer seasons. • 4-2-6. Applied on a 2-to-4-week basis during the autumn and winter seasons.

A range of granular fertilisers, with the typical granule diameter being from 2.5mm - 4.5mm and they have a typical release period of 6 - 8 weeks. It is suitable for use on turf surfaces mown at heights greater than 10mm. There is also a variation with this fertiliser product, which is organic based, with a granule size of 1mm - 3mm and which also includes seaweed extracts and humates, also having a typical release period of 6 - 8 weeks. These fertilisers are marketed by Rigby Taylor.
