3.2.21 Tractor / Power unit

Whilst this isn’t an activity, a suitable tractor or power unit will be required to enable satisfactory pitch maintenance to take place.

There are many types of tractor which are suitable, all depending on specific requirements.

However, for a grassroots type pitch the use of a compact type tractor (around 30-40hp), rather than a heavier duty / larger tractor (50⁺hp) would usually be quite satisfactory.
