Which one of the following statements best describes when line marking is mainly carried out?

The main periods would be during the playing season, but also for pre-season training and games. You would not usually need to mark out when no games at taking place unless there was a long period between games, and you were concerned that the marked lines would wash out, or just fade out, during this time. If they did disappear then you would probably have to set out the pitch again to ensure all the pitch is correctly squared up and then mark out from scratch again. This initial setting out takes a lot longer than just line marking and an existing pitch.
