Which one of the following statements best describes the time of year that pitch irrigation is mostly carried out?

Irrigation will usually take place from April to September, but the peak period will usually be between May and August. For sand profile pitches irrigation can take place all year round because the surface and profile can dry very quickly, with stability becoming very poor where vegetative ground cover is low or non-existent.
