Which one of the following statements best describes the time of year a tractor would typically be needed for pitch maintenance work?

A tractor, or other power unit, will need to be made available all year round. There are a range of different maintenance activities that are carried out throughout the year. In addition, it would also be needed for work activities that support pitch maintenance, for example, with a trailer being connected to the tractor. It is unrealistic to wholly rely on pedestrian operated machinery. In some cases the use of a tractor might be limited to certain periods, but from a practical perspective it is usually recommended to have one available at all times.
