To add grass seed to the pitch, to increase the content of desirable grass species.

Depending on when this is carried out and the requirements of the overseeding, the equipment used can vary quite a bit.

A general overseed of might be carried out using a spinning disc spreader, a seed drill or with dimpled roller.

A strongly spiked dimple roller combined with a seed hopper is the Aera Seeder.
