These will only be applied in accordance with the instructions on the label for the particular product. Selective herbicides to control weeds will typically only be applied when the weeds are growing well, which will mean from April to September.

This will also typically be the period for plant growth regulators, as the grass plant will also be growing strongly during most of these months. Fungicides might be applied at any time of year, whilst insecticides and biocontrol’s will be specific to the pest being controlled.
